Eye River

PCC Storm Water Education Plaza - in progress

Eye River references the historic 'log dog' form, a tool used to create log rafts. It has a direct connection to the working waterfront but can also be enjoyed as an abstract marker. The glass in the oculus flickers with the changing light and reminds us of the natural beauty of the Willamette River.

The Portland Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) and Portland Community College (PCC) worked together on this stormwater showcase at PCC's Climb Center at SE Water Avenue and SE Clay Street. The project demonstrates a natural systems approach to stormwater management.
