Backyard Conversations
Linda Wysong, AiR Guest Artist June 2008 South Waterfront, Portland ORBackyard Conversations explores the intricacies of building a contemporary urban utopia and examines different aspects of place-making. Acknowledging the reality of physical and social barriers, Wysong puts a human face on the glistening pristine concrete and steel of Portland's new South Waterfront District. The project includes a series of Community Tours and Video Portraits.

Backyard Conversations is commissioned by the South Waterfront Artist in Residence (AiR) Program. The AiR program is directed by dance artist Linda K. Johnson and sponsored by Williams and Dame Development and Gerding Edlen Development.
